The most popular dancer on US TV show Soul Train, JD became a founding member of the multi award winning and hit making group Shalamar. He performed the Moonwalk on US TV and was the first to do so on UK TV (Top Of The Pops) and taught the move to Michael. The backslide as it was then known became one of the most iconic dance moves of the 20th Century. Jeffrey Daniel is a respected pioneer of the West coast street dance movement. He and his peers took a style of dance from the streets and clubs to the mainstream music and media world. A fusion of jazz, popping, locking, robotics, wack, house and hip hop merged into effortless sequences. Jeffrey was the co-choreographer on ‘Smooth Criminal’ where he introduced “The Lean” to Michael, and on ‘Bad’. JD also appeared in both short films with his dance brother. He was later employed as a creative and choreography consultant on his world tours and the short films “They Don't Really Care About Us” and 'Ghosts'. In addition to working with Michael, JD has choreographed videos for artists such as The Go Go’s (Belinda Carlisle), Vanessa Williams, LaToya Jackson, Randy Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Johnny Gill, Sheena Easton, After 7, The Boys, Cheryl Lynn and Karyn White (world tour).
